I got the housing assignment I wanted for my college~ So while I'll technically have three roommates, I'll get my own room (i.e. privacy), be in the center of campus, go to class in pajamas, and get "free" food exclusive to people in my RC!
I'm in awe :O No freshman should be this lucky!

I haven't posted in a while due to a stupid ear infection/head cold and changing residences (finally). I've been driving a car for the past few days cross-country so I'm pretty wiped out -_- On the bright side, I have internet access! Yay!
Also, while I was in London, I found a Japanese bookstore that sold Newtype, Animage, and Animedia! I'll scan them in when I eventually hook up my scanner. Strangely enough, even with the dollar losing it's value as is, the magazines still cost much less in pounds than they do ordering them from Amazon.co.jp >_> On the upside, I think I've located another Japanese bookstore around where I'm currently living and will check it out when I finish unpacking.
In other new, while Geass spoilers make me T_TI should have never looked *whacks self*, the events of the upcoming episodes should have a major impact on a lot of the characters and will obviously cause a lot of turmoil. I love the occasional major angst-fest, so I'm pretty pleased otherwise. On another note, I have two finished fanarts (both of C.C.) which I plan to post in the comm at some point :D
Maybe I'll get a job or do an internship since I will have a lot of free time until college starts...
EDIT: Btw, watch the teaser trailer for "Quantum of Solace." I wholeheartedly recommend it. And it's being directed by Marc Forster-!

By the way, guess who was in London today? Will Smith. Best. Day. Ever.

Tomorrow's my birthday and not just any birthday--it's my Golden birthday since I'm turning 18 on the eighteenth! Guess what else the number 18 stands for? The drinking age limit in England :D
I'm planning to not go too overboard and am going to see Spamalot with my parents in any case, but I haven't decided what to do in the morning yet. I wonder how cracktastic Spamalot would be through the eyes of someone in an alcoholic stupor?(re: NOT A GOOD IDEA)

I'm currently in London and it's awesome to say the least~ The only not so awesome part is that everything costs basically twice as much as it does in the states. For instance, a meal of fish and chips costs approx. £10 (an average based on the deals from the multitude of pubs I've been frequenting). Sounds like a good deal? NOT SO FAST. This translates to roughly $20. Don't forget adding in the £2.50 for your average beverage. And remember, no free refills! As my dad so eloquently put it, "Always remember--this is your education fund at work." orz
The first day I was here, I didn't sleep for 27 hours. At first I was relatively hyper from a bizarre caffeine-charged euphoria, but, after a while, I was dead tired. I was so tired, I couldn't open my eyes anymore and tried to use my arms to feel my way around. Basically, I was like a famished zombie seekinghuman flesh food and drink, traversing the city streets amidst a sea of foreigners. Finally when I got back to my room to sleep, I collapsed, contacts still on, around 2 in the afternoon. I woke up at 10 in the morning. I don't think I want to calculate how long it was that I slept, but my parents apparently didn't notice I was sleeping the entire time. What did they think I was doing? Resting my eyes for a whole day? -_-;;;
Random trip notes:
1. At Customs, the officer there (who looked like Simon Pegg's doppleganger) asked me where I was "floating" from. I started giggling like a manic and had to excuse myself for a while.
2. I got compliments from an elderly British lady and a random Australian on my hair. I have to mention this based on the sheer awesomeness of the compliments. The woman called me "Pretty penny" and the Australian guy gave me two thumbs up and said, "Nice hair, mate!" I need an accent, stat.
3. I've seen, so far, the British Museum, the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, Herrod's (which had the most exquisite Krispy Kremes I've ever seen), Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the London Eye, and a Starbucks that could be categorized as a temple dedicated to coffee.
4. I swore myself off the internet until today when I realized that I could have gotten free access all along.
5. When I was walking around Piccadilly Circus yesterday, I saw a group of people, one of which had a black & white Suzaku(!!!)/Geass bag. I tried to chase after her with a camera, but, alas, got separated. I bet you thought I would only reference my fandom :D
6. Half the men here have haircuts identical to that of Simon Pegg's.

Beware for spoiler images of Kallen in formal noble clothing, more Shirley outfits, the First Princesswho shares Lulu's fashion sense ;_;, KNIGHT!Marianne, and the Emperor + V.V. from 21 years ago when he actually looked normal.

Random note: I've gone to so many graduation parties between today and yesterday that I'm completed wiped out. Everything is blurring together. I think there's a limit to how much you can party, seriously -_-;;;

I'm back from my rafting trip! Actually I came back a few days ago, but was sleeping for most of it since I had barely slept during the trip sleeping on a bed of rock will do that to you. The trip was so much fun though~ I got to row a lot so my arm muscles are larger than they were before during VB season. I sort of look like a bodybuilder now XD There were ups and downs--the downs being having a community box for a bathroom. I also flew in a Cessna over the canyon. However, the plane kept randomly plummeting, like the engine would turn off whenever we encountered excessive turbulence. I latched onto my seat, but as one as my friends said, "That's not going to save you if we crash into a rock wall" O_O Overall, the trip was pretty epic though.
Also, I graduate in 3 days. It's about time considering my classes ended over a month ago.

My copies of Newtype, Animage, and Queen/Knight 3 should arrive tomorrow~ I'll be taking some pictures + scanning some stuff of course.
I finally saw the NGE 1.0 movie and it was awesome. Pretty much a complete recap with amazingly animated footage, but all the new little details show that they're going in a different direction than the TV series. The best part had to be the final battle versus Ramiel. The shrieking noise it made every time it attacked was fitting with the apocalyptic vibe the movie set. The transition to Kaworu's awakening at the end was beautifully done too.

Currently writing my paper. I'm so drained, but I must keep going. This is the only thing between me and honors credit. I can't believe I just used a quote from "The Incredibles." Last paper of the year and I'm using a Pixar film for metaphors. THE INCREDIBLES. A DISNEY FILM. I'M QUOTING THE MOVIE IN A HONORS PAPER. I fail hard at life >_>

I'm currently doing this C.C. fanart, but I'm going to have to put it off until I get more time. All I can say about the rest of the fanart is that it includes a witch's hat, leather, and fishnet stockings.
In any case, it's a month from my birthday!

I was greatly amused by the reappearance of Cecile's deadly cooking and Lloyd's "reaction" to it. Guilford simply turned away in disgust XD
Lelouch when he was wandering around alone at night, haunted by the ever present images of Nunnally, really was abusing his power. He futilely seeks to have control over others, but ultimately is losing control over himself as shown by his crazed laughing into the night. He really didn't know what to do with himself. And obviously, the constant reappearance of Gov. Gen. Nunnally reinforced that she has her own path in life, separate from his own. Rolo is really trying to cement himself as the loyal little brother in all of this too.
By the way, did anyone think the scene where Kallen runs across the construction site away from Lelouch with the fog-laden sunset in the background looked really lovely? Just the juxtaposition, I guess. I liked the scene of the confrontation too since it really displayed how much Lelouch cared for Nunnally in that the moment she "betrays" him. As a result, he descends into a spiral of depression and helplessness in which he seeks comfort in any form. However, in this case, with basically asking Kallen to prostitute herself, he's not looking for any emotional connections; Lelouch has already involved himself emotionally in everything else and is now looking for an escape. Kallen's ultimate slap really had more significance than the actual attempted kiss. I think the director did a really great job getting that across.
Also of note was Nunnally's conversation with her father. She's pretty fearless when it comes down to it and nobly stood up for her beliefs in the face of her father even though she probably knows of the consequences. C.C.'s conversation with Marianne was fascinating as well. I wonder what her real motive is in all of this...
What I didn't like as much about the episode was that random glass cube CG imagery. That continued on for too long. However, Lelouch remarks that his fight doesn't just involve Nunnally anymore. First off, it's still important to note that Nunnally is always priority to him. Lelouch is not proclaiming necessarily that he'll fight for the sake of everyone equally, but rather coming to grips with the consequences of his actions and the significance his next move will have to everyone. I wonder how the promise to watch the fireworks together with everyone again will work out? Lelouch's words had a sense of finality to them.
The underwater attack was very nicely done especially with the choice of BGM and Lelouch's fantastic hair flapping in the wind. Also fantastic, was the Zero poses at the end. If Diethard saw that, he must have been flipping out. He probably has a room full of Zero pictures on board.
As for next episode, I wonder what the OoBK are doing with the gas covering. It looks like it's at the site for where Nunnally's going to formally announce the SAR plan. And Lelouch taking off his helmet out in the open? I wonder if that's his cell phone or voice changer that he has on...
EDIT: Oh more randomness, here's some official images of Lelouch's and Rolo's wide range of expressions. I think the person got them from one of the auctions on Yahoo (there aren't any storyboard auctions currently, mind you)
( Blushing Rolo behind the cut XD )

THE ANYAXGINO FEST HATH BEGUN!
( I'm glad I wasn't the only one having dirty thoughts about this pairing -_- )
Also, thanks to my new Geass E-magazine:
TURN10「なぁ、ゼロ、俺の役職ってまだ決まらないのかよ」
"Hey, Zero, hasn't my position been decided yet?"
....I think this is Tamaki speaking from the way it's phrased. Poor Tamaki ;_; Btw, I decided not to white it out since this didn't really sound too spoilery.
And now for something completely different, yesterday at work I got a call from a 9/11 conspiracy theorist. It was an experience to say the least. The caller strongly reminded me of a member of a cult in the way he talked about some of the theories. It was like he was discussing a portion of the bible with a priest! Disturbing much? Luckily, I acted natural and he commented on my "wonderful attitude." CRISIS AVOIDED.
Next fanart post will not be a Geass one probably, but rather a HibariXChrome one. I hope you're proud of me, Rune :D

My epic journey to get a bite to eat.
( I think this could rival the Odyssey....maybe...or White Castle. )
On the topic of getting lost in a desert, I would survive, only barely, thanks to my mother stockpiling dried fruits and nuts into my car trunk. She obviously knows how to prep for emergencies >_>
I should probably turn off my computer now. It sounds like a lightening storm's coming....

I saw "Iron Man" last night and boy, was it awesome! If you haven't seen it yet, go now! And don't forget to stay until after the credits. Who knows? You may get to see Samuel L. Jackson with an eyepatch or something. Yay for sequels! Plus, Robert Downey Jr. a.k.a. Iron Man will be showing up in the "Incredible Hulk" which, thankfully, is a complete reboot of the franchise. Ang Lee, please stay away from this one -_-;;;

Today was my last day of classes for high school. So basically, this is it! I'M DONE!! I still have other school events and my internship, but I never have to turn in another paper again...until August.
Oh and someone posted an awesome version of O2 on the piano on Youtube!
( Now, I'll take away your overflowing tears! )
And speaking of O2, the PV is out. Go check out the comm to see it~
My job was relatively dull apart from the political gossip and the annoying caller that thought I was an idiot for inexplicable reasons. I really hate it when people talk to you really slowly as if you aren't speaking the same language. Bah, at least I know I'm more intelligent than he is. I wish we got more calls about the invasion of the lizard-men; at least that was interesting >_>

Ugh, my day was long. I think my life is governed by Murphy's Law or something since that what it felt like. Everything that could possibly go wrong during an AP test did apart from my car breaking down. That was last year. I honestly think someone up there does not want me to take any more exams. I concur -_-;;; My internship job today was relatively tedious as well since it consisted of six hours worth of filings and scheduling. After a while my brain turned off, which didn't exactly help, especially considering rather than write actual events, I began to just type "added" in every single calendar entry. That was a moment, to say the least.
In any case, I only have one (count it one!) class of high school left! Not including another AP exam of course, but this one doesn't involve a calculator, so it should work out. Right?
